The Missing Place

While in the process of moving and entering into a new environment, I started thinking about the dreams, plans and other things that other people might be overwhelmed with right now. I’ve always pictured myself moving out, having nice things, and being in a state of prosperity. We dream of having all these things, but when we finally have them… then what? Is this apartment the missing piece that’s going to make me sleep better at night? Is that raise at work going to give me more identity? Some of us aim for a certain lifestyle our whole life. (when this life isn’t even technically ours to begin with) Making it to the top, owner of the company, got the finest wife and you still feel like something is missing. Life isn’t about impressing other people. At the end of the day, this isn’t about how pretty we paint the canvas. It’s the heart behind the canvas. Life is a puzzle that we’re trying to put together. What do the pieces in your puzzle look like? Are you putting together a life of strife? When your puzzle isn’t coming together, are you speaking discouragement? Maybe you just need to change the piece around.

It’s always going to be about the feelings and the relationships around us. Materialistic things and goals are good and pretty, but that’s not where the priority should be, because if the priority is there without the missing puzzle piece then it’s never going to work.

The missing puzzle piece is always going to lead back to him. We are his masterpiece, his handiwork. He is our creator. WE need him. If we don’t have him, it’s always going to feel like there's a void. We aren’t enough for ourselves. Have you not noticed that? Haha, but our father still loves us fully for the mess that we are, and I think that is such a beautiful thing.

Ephesians 2:10 (AMP) says "For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]."
